Candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Professional degree holders such as Engineering, Medical, CA, Cost Accountant etc. are also eligible. In addition, candidates must have minimum 2 years of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank after acquiring essential qualification.

Candidates applying for a particular circle must have knowledge of the local language of that circle. Local language proficiency test will be conducted for selected candidates. Candidates who studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard may be exempted from the language test.
